Early life:

Oliver was raised in Nottingham, UK along with his brother. The two were quiet close and when Ethan's power manifested, Oliver became wary for his brother. Oliver was very surprised that when Ethan failed to get into a university their parents kicked him out of the house. And, never being ones to go back on their decisions, Oliver was even more surprised one year later, when they invited Ethan back. The reunited family then went on holiday to Seattle were they were involved in a car crash. Mrs. Barrowcliff died in the crash, and Mr Barrowcliff received major injuries.

The boys stayed at the hospital with their father, and one day Ethan went out to fetch some food but never returned. The next day, Mr. Barrowcliff died of his injuries and Oliver was all alone. He couldn't go back to the UK as his plane ticket had been in the car when it was destroyed so he found work in Seattle, as cashier in a local supermarket. Oliver then went on a road trip with some of his colleagues and never returned to Seattle. The people on the road trip said that one day he just disappeared into thin air, just outside of Wichita, Kansas.

I. Kansas

One night after being served by a waitress named Kelly, Oliver decided to rob her for the money she'd been given as a tip. Little did he know that she ended owning him, and learning his full name, which she seemed to recognize. When Kelly hinted at knowing his brother, Oliver took a pair of men to her apartment to squirm it out of her, and she ended up joining Cooper's gang due to her abilities. Their first assignment together was to collect money from a local shop owner and they succeeded, pretty easily. Their second, was to assassinate a local pedophile by the name of Ramsey Fox. Little did they know it was just a cover to get her to do the job. They arrived at Ramsey's place and confronted him. He said it was a lie and made the fatal remark about why she never gets close to people... she know's she'll hurt them. After Ramsey confirmed that he was not a pedophile, Kelly turned her gun on Oliver, and shot him. They planned for Ramsey and Kelly to escape, and for Oliver to get off un-harmed, but when Cooper appeared, he injected Oliver with a poison that will kill him in seventy-two hours. Cooper also told Oliver that in order to get the antidote, he had to bring Kelly's dead body back to him. Oliver chased after Ramsey and Kelly, and eventually caught up with them in a wooded area, after driving off the highway's guard rail. They teamed up against Cooper, and Oliver shot him to death. Oliver left his t-shirt and the gun at the scene, and the trio headed off.

II. Philly.

Despite becoming separated from Ramsey and Kelly, he met up with Kelly in Philly where she was being attacked by Saar. The pair were pretty badly beaten but eventually managed to escape whereby they were picked up by a man called Layden.
