Yvette has a lean and muscular build, short lifeless strawberry blonde hair, and sharp hazel eyes. She's about medium height with slightly tanned skin. Out of habit more than anything, she always wears her old dogtags tucked under her shirt. She never wears a heavy load of makeup or totes around a designer purse, but you'll never see her without a lighter and a pack of cigarettes.

Yvette isn't one to wear her heart on her sleve; she has a calm and reserved demeanor. She masks her emotion with indifference and the only way to get any strong reaction from her is to cut off her precious supply of nicotine. Otherwise, her true feelings are expressed by subtle actions, not words or expressions. Yvette is very judgemental; she won't work well with someone she doesn't respect. However, she is fiercely loyal to those lucky enough to meet her standards and her superiors. She knows that metahumans exist and carries a slight distain for them, but won't state the reason for her prejudice and doesn't let it get in the way of her work.

Yvette grew up with her grandparents and stepbrothers in a house by the Mediterranean coast. Her father died of cancer and her mother and stepfather perished in a car accident a few years later. Yvette's pureblood French with a thick accent to boot, but she learned some Italian from a friend who used to live there and was taught English as a second language in school. Shortly after finishing her secondary education, Yvette enrolled herself in the army, much to the dismay of her family. She quickly rose up the ranks to captain but after one particular mission she came back on the brink of death and was honorably discharged when she recovered.
