From birth...

Sam Bradley lived most of his life in a small town in northern West Virginia. When he was 14 years old, he learned that he wasn't normal.Sam would have never found out about his ability if it weren't for his older brother,Charles. Shortly after Charles discovered his super-strength,they noticed that when Sam focused, his brother could lift even heavier objects.Also, Sam noticed that his strength increased with his brother's. As Sam met more people with talents like his brothers, he practiced his skill and helped others in his community through various ways, living his life under the guidance of Charles and their parents. After the disaster on 9/11 that killed both of their parents, the brothers rushed to help rescue crews in New York City. As Sam increased his brother's strength, Charles lifted monstrous pieces of debris.It was while lifting one of these objects that Sam lost his concentration, and Charles's strength,even though it was still much greater than the average humans, was diminished and he was trapped under the rubble. In a matter of days, Sam lost the three people who were most important to him.

After the accident...

Devastated, he blamed his ability for his problems, and used his studies to take his mind off of them. Along with studying for his Business degree at Harvard, he studied basic physics, biology, and astronomy in his free time on the Internet or with private tutors when he could afford them. After graduating from Harvard, he invested all of his money in the American branch of Lucozade, which turned out to be a failure. Broke and now homeless,Sam turned to selling and using cocaine and marijuana as a source of income and escape from the regrets of what he could have been. He became quite good at what he did, and finally embraced his powers as a way he could survive. He also found a way to use his ability to "cut loose ends" by selling enhanced drugs, the targets overdosed and died. He used his underground connections to find out about the Syndicate and was invited to join by their leader, Matthew Triggs. He joined without hesitation, seeing it as an excellent opportunity to become what he could have been so long ago...

Now...

Sam is 25 years old and has been drug free for 2 and a half years.He has become an officer in the Syndicate. The Syndicate has become his new family and he would do anything to protect them. This feeling only became greater when his best friend William Tennant joined the Syndicate as well. However, soon after joining, Will died in Philadelphia. Sam has been adjusting to the Syndicate's new, more behind the scenes style of operation, and has found he likes it more than just beating on the heroes to get whatever they want.

Powers

Sam Bradley can make the abilities of others around him stronger(stronger could mean more damaging, easier to use, increased range and effectiveness,etc.). Also, when he amplifies the powers of others, he can mimic the power, but the amount of focus required usually means that he cannot use his mimicked ability very well, if at all.

10 years later...

In the 10 years later storyline, Sam was kicked out of the Syndicate after ignoring orders to kill a little girl. He spent 10 years in hiding, honing his powers, and waiting for a chance to get his revenge. After much practice, Sam learned that he could amplify others abilities by an almost unnoticeable amount, and then mimic them more easily. This trick has helped him escape Syndicate arrest many times. He has re-emerged from his hiding, and returned to Club Hellfire, meeting up with the hero Dilann Roth.
