Powers: Projection

This power allows Imua to project himself to any location. Much like teleportation, he can move his entire body to another place. It takes a lot of concentration to do so, but he has gotten better at it with time. His power sometimes works involuntarily and lands him in places wherever destiny wants him. His power has also been known to project his mind to the future to see some future event, or to some place he needs to see. Though it happens rarely, it proved helpful in beginning his journey in becoming a hero.

Early Life

Imua grew up in a home where he had a lot of freedom. This was mainly because his Dad left the family when Imua was nine. His Mom has since become dependant on alcohol and drugs and left the brunt of the housework on Imua's shoulders. Looking at the life around him and the life that others had gave him the courage to press forward and become something better. After graduating high school, Imua attended a community college but found the freedom of college life to be a little more difficult to handle and he cut classes quite often.

The Beginning

It was during one of the times he wasn't in class that he first saw a vision that led him to the start of his journey. He saw a city and had the feeling he needed to be there. After finding out the city that he saw was Philadelphia, he immediately projected there and found himself at the beginning of a whirlwind that would become part of his life.

Philadelphia

Imua made a lot of his friends on Philly. It was here that he met others who had amazing abilities, one of whom was Caz. After encountering a small group, they had a run in with Matthew Triggs. It was unclear as to what Triggs wanted with Caz and the rest, but they knew they needed to be safe.

Heroes HQ

It became apparent that Triggs was gathering people with abilities and covered it with the Triggs Corp. To counter, Imua and Caz had Dawson, a young boy with the ability of thought projection, to create a Headquarters for the people who were against Triggs to find safety. The group by then grew in numbers and there were more coming every day. After many fights and the loss of some on both sides, the HQ was eventually destroyed when Triggs sent a surprise attack on the HQ. It was then that the heroes group scattered.

California

Shortly after the explosion of the HQ, Imua relocates himself, along with Dawson and Molly to California.

Grayson Gone

Imua was excited that he had an old friend by his side. He knew of the struggles that Gray had with his powers, but didn't realize the extent of it until one fateful day. They were driving down the road when Gray had one of his attacks. His abilities overtook him and the street was nearly destroyed. Gray collapsed after ten long minutes and was near death. An ambulance came and shuttled him away before Imua could even say a word.

Return to HQ

Devastated, Imua projected himself to the ruins of the HQ. While there he ran into Nick, one of his old friends from the HQ days. After explaining why they both were there, they heard a crash and found Caz who had been brought back from the future after being kidnapped.

Old Friends

Imua, Caz and Nick decided to start anew and went off to continue there journey in life. After meeting some new people, they found that their new life would not be free from danger. While trying to find someone who needed help from a top a building, they realized that they were being followed. Unsure of what to do, they split into two groups.

Canada

During their travel, Imua's power involuntarily projected him away from his friends and into what seemed to ba a battlefield. The city of Ontario was on lockdown and something weird was going on. Imua eventually ran into Brooke Mars...

Back In Philadelphia (CIA)

After boarding the Helicopter with Brooke, they flew to Philadelphia. Imua was surprised with the fact that there was a small organization in the government that tracked dangerous metas. Imua asked whether or not the CIA knew of the Headquarters and was pleased to know that though they had known about something there, they couldn't breach into any of the systems. After arriving at the CIA facility in Philly, Imua and Brooke trained and were given rooms and the things they would need. It was shortly after that they were called on an emergency and were told that they were headed to San Diego to try and stop Chris Campbell.

San Diego

Chris was one of the original group memebers whom Imua lost contact with after the explosion. He knew nothing of what happened between then and now and he was nervous. He knew Chris' ability was strong and he wasn't sure if they could even get close enough to stop him. When they arrived, they found Chris on the bridge in San Diego fighting with Riley. This shocked Imua even more because He remembered Chris and Riley having a strong connection to each other. The battle was fierce and the end result was tragic. Chris had died by the hands of Jack Raiden. Riley was devastated and so was Imua. After leaving the scene, when everything was being cleared up, he told Brooke that he had to leave, but he would be back.

Back at the HQ

Imua projected to the rubble that was once the HQ. It was his second time returning. He was surprised to find others there. They all knew of Chris' untimely death and were there to pay there respects. Imua took a picture he had of the group that resided there and placed in on one of the cement blocks. After a few hours to talking to the others, he left to find Brooke.

Undetermined Future

Brooke and Imua didn't know what became of the Branch of the CIA that they were apart of. Their boss had died in the crossfire and Luke was no where to be found. With their future undetermined, they grabbed what they could and left the state. They traveld from place to place keeping a low profile. Imua was finding himself growing tired of the constant finding and losing people. He knew he needed something stable if he were to continue his journey. So he and Brooke decided to return to Philadelphia to try and find one of Imua's oldest friends.

Infiltration

Imua and Brooke arrive at Philadelphia and grab the things they need. Imua is unsure as to how to find Caz at first and comes up with various options that lead to dead ends. While Brooke goes to get a rent-a-car, Imua thinks that if he can find Caz's sister, Marie, he might be able to find Caz. While searching his phone to see if he has her number, he stumbles across some files the Meta Division loaded onto his phone. There he finds a file that Marie was held at a nearby facility as a "dangerous meta." He just got into the car Brooke got when they hear an explosion.

The story goes from here...

High School Thread (AU):

Imua Kahumoku arrived at Odessa, Texas his freshmen year of high school. The story finds Imua as a senior at Union Wells and well integrated in the Texas ways. He usually liked to stay out of trouble but also liked to stick his foot across the line at times. He helped out when a bridge collapsed on the outskirts of town while he was attending a party. He frequented The Burnt Toast Diner at Midland, especially when figuring out about his abilities and the things he was able to do. He made some small convo with Charlie here and there as well.

While on a school camping trip, Imua wandered into the woods to meditate and control his abilities. He was then projected to Houston where he encountered Sajong, the boy who could enter your dreams and show you answers to your questions. It is unclear as to whether Imua physically projected there, or during his meditative state, his mind was projected into his subconcious. After a shocking moment in his vision, Imua awoke and found himself in a completely different part of the area. He was later found by John, Nick and Layden.

On the way back to school, the bus the students were on was attacked by a man who shot electricity from his hands. One of Imua's close friends, Sophie was hit causing her death, the second or third since the start of the story. The manifestation of so many abilities at once and the loss of two students, one whom Imua was close to, hit him hard. The night of the attack haunted Imua for days as he couldn't understand why such a life as precious as Sophie's had to die.

The story ended with the school catching on fire and we never get to see whether Imua pulls out of his depression.
